Meet Ojibwe Artist Storm Angeconeb

Storm Angeconeb is an Anishinaabe artist from Lac Seul First Nation in northwestern Ontario, located within Treaty Three Territory. A self-taught artist, her work is strongly influenced by Ojibwe florals, the natural world, and powerful animal imagery, blending bold colour with expressive storytelling.

One of Storm’s most recognizable designs is her Horse, a symbol of strength, movement, and deep connection. The horse holds special meaning at TwoChiefs, reflecting a shared respect for the animal as a guide, partner, and part of our own story and relationship with the land.

Through painting and design, Storm explores themes of identity, resilience, and connection to culture. Her work centres Indigenous presence in contemporary spaces, using strong visual language that feels personal, confident, and unapologetic.
